Shoshana Den-Macker
Art-Den is a play on words. First of course Art which you have all understood. Den comes from my family name, the common part of my two maiden names one on each passport. It is the first part of my given name, a mix of their two last names : Den from Denning (my father) + Macker from Micmacker (my mothers name) = Den-Macker. In France I have to and am honored, to use only my fathers name to which I added my married name. Den is also an animals underground home, a place to shelter its young. For me it is also my inner den, my animal instinct and a refuge for my creations.
